Title: BladeRF x40 + XB 300 + YateBTS
Post by: lgrangeia on August 17, 2017, 11:45:22 AM
Hi guys,

I tested and successfully ran yatebts on a bladerf x40, but I'm currently trying to make it work with the XB-300 amplifier daughter card, but no dice.

Can anyone point me to the right direction?

I'm guessing the Firmware + FPGA on the yate source tree is not compatible with the XB-300, but I'm not sure.

Anyone ran into this?

Thanks,

LG

I'm in the same boat. Though I have had it running (I think) for short amounts of time with the XB 300.

I have put it down to a power issue and am currently trying to work out how to use the barrel jack to externally power the bladeRF as I don't think the USB has enough juice to power both the amp and bladeRF.

What is the problem you are having? have you been able to turn the amp on through bladeRF-cli?

Joe

Edit: So I've got it running, using external power into the jack adapter. Not sure it's transmitting, but through bladeRF-cli I've enabled it, turned it on, and then turned RF on. I assume it's working haha

to get the amplifier working you need 2 SMA cables to connect the RX of BladeRf to RXIF of XB 300 and the TX as well,
also to power from external DC you need to change some jumpers on the Bladerf , I don't remember which ones but you can check the Nuand git pages.

also you need to enable it via bladerf-cli
