Title: select audio devices

Ubuntu 16.04, PulseAudio, yate-qt4 5.4.0.1 r5880

I have been using Yate successfully for outgoing calls, but now have a DiD number, so I want to have the incoming call's ringtone played on my speakers, and the conversation played on my USBphone.  It seems like it should be possible by changing the Pavucontrol default output device from speakers to USBphone after the ringing and before accepting the call, and back again when the call is over, but its a bit messy.

Is there a neat way of doing it?

I see that yate is no longer maintained.
Switching to ekiga, which does allow audio devices to be selected.
