How do you start YateServer?
If you go to a Terminal and issue the "ps -Aaf | grep yate" command, what results do you get?
Does issuing "telnet 127.0.0.1 5038" command int the Terminal work?
Do you see any log message regarding Yate (starting or crashing) in the Console? If so, please post them here. Also, please look in ~/Library/Log/CrashReporter if you have any logs for Yate crashing and if so, please post them here.

I just double clicked on the icon and it bounced in the icon. I right click it and it shows "Applications Not Responding"

I didn't receive a crash report or or unexpected shutdown error.. Was it meant to be ran from the terminal only?

This is my terminal Info Below:

unknown28cfdaf35268:/ joshrherbert$ telnet 127.0.0.1. 5038
127.0.0.1.: nodename nor servname provided, or not known
unknown28cfdaf35268:/ joshrherbert$ ps -Aaf | grep yate
  501   696   671   0 10:41PM ttys000    0:00.01 grep yate
unknown28cfdaf35268:/ joshrherbert$

Thank you!!

It seems 127.0.0.1 does not work on Mac OS. Please try "telnet localhost 5038".

Also, you could try starting the YateServer through this command :
"sudo /Library/Application\ Support/Yate/yate.init start"

It also has options stop and restart and then check again with telnet and/or ps -Aaf | grep yate and report back to us.

using "sudo Library/Applications/Support/Yate/yate.init start", it asks me for a Password: I put in my personal password for my administration options on my computer and it comes up as Command Not Found

Using Telnet, I got a conncetion refused.. And I got the same result when I checked it with ps -Aaf | grep yate.

Here's my terminal Log:

unknown28cfdaf35268:~ joshrherbert$ sudo /Library/Application/Support/Yate/yate.init start
Password:
sudo: /Library/Application/Support/Yate/yate.init: command not found
unknown28cfdaf35268:~ joshrherbert$ telnet localhost 5038

unknown28cfdaf35268:~ joshrherbert$ ps -Aaf | grep yate

The path is wrong. It's not

sudo /Library/Application/Support/Yate/yate.init start

but

sudo /Library/Application\ Support/Yate/yate.init start.

The following command

sudo /Library/Application\ Support/Yate/yate.init start

boots up yate server. I am completely new to this.

Is there a forum on here that talks about using a hard phone such as a Nortel 1120E with Yate instead of connecting it to a PBX?? Thanks alot for your help!!
