Other Yate server issues / VOIPize an analog telephone with an X100p?
« on: November 02, 2013, 10:45:33 AM »
I currently have YATE setup as a SIP to Google Voice gateway. I would like to get incoming calls from SIP (or Google Voice) routed to an analog telephone, and outgoing from the telephone dialing as SIP (or Google Voice). I have an analog telephone, and an X100P FXO card. http://www.x100p.com/products/FXO.php

I think I may have gotten the wrong card for this job, the FXO/FXS terminology seems to confuse more than anything else (they rarely say if the term they are using specifies what it acts as vs. what its supposed to connect to). I am hoping I can use it anyway.

So my questions are:
Can I actually use the hardware I have to connect my YATE server to an analog telephone? (If it requires some amount of electrical engineering, I am fine with that too)
Where do I start with configuring the software end?

Thanks in advance for any help.

... and this friggin CAPTCHA is impossible man

Yate server for Google Voice / Multiple GV Connections
« on: November 18, 2012, 07:51:14 PM »
Need some help configuring YATE to allow multiple Google Voice accounts (one per SIP).

I followed this guide to set up one (which was excellent and works very well): http://yate.null.ro/pmwiki/index.php?n=Main.ConnectingToGoogleVoice

I tried adding another GV (under a different name) to accfile.conf, added another in_line line to regexroute.conf and used :
$sip_username^=username_out

to establish contexts under which to define the large block of outgoing rules, taking care to replace references to GoogleVoice with whichever name I used to define the specific Google Voice account defined in accfile.conf.

The result is only one GoogleVoice seems to work at one time, with both SIP accounts using it.

Any help is very much appreciated.

I am new to using YATE or any other software PBX. I tried configuring Asterisk and Freeswitch to do this but could not find very good information on how to do it. Whether it was finding a good guide or the organization of the software itself I found YATE to be much simpler.
