YateBTS - telnet mbts issues

Hi.
I am running YateBTS with BladeRF. I am able to telnet to the application (telnet localhost 5038).
However, when I'm trying to perform changes to the configuration of the BTS in the telnet session, the changes are not saved in the config file. The BTS configuration are thus not changed, even though the telnet mbts application says that the configuration is changed.

Does anyone have an idea how I can change the BTS configuration in the telnet session?

It is not possible: configuration is not saved when you change a parameter.

Then why is it a possibility to change the parameters from the telnet session?

I'm trying to write a script to change the parameters of the BTS. Any other ideas of how this can be done without making changes directly in the config file?
