how do I start yate so log files are created?

ehlo and thanks

from /usr/loca/bin/yate  entering   ./yate -vvvv -l /var/log/yate  only give me an empty file in /var/log/yate

what's a command that give a verbose log file??

Start it as daemon with -d :)
