yate client with jingle
« on: January 23, 2018, 04:45:26 AM »
I'm searching for a free jabber client with jingle support to use it with a standard server like openfire.
I have a test server installed and I successfully tested the voice call with jitsi .
I installed yate on windows - using virtualbox, maybe it's important - ( in fact i tried first on linux but I have pulseaudio so seems normal not to work) and tried to make a call between  jitsi on my linux and yate.
On yate client  the call icon is inactive .
I tried to configure another account with google talk but the call icon is still inactive.

Call option in contacts list context menu is enabled when the jingle module detects audio support is advertised by contact's client application.

You may want to post a log with jabber messages.

Check the Settings -> Debug Window option

Nevermind. Second time i started the virtual machine the call button appeared :)
Maybe windows need an restart after install?
I still have some issues but could be network related ( the server is behind a router without public IP) so I think for the moment is case closed .
Thanks!
