YateBTS / RPi4
« on: November 18, 2019, 07:20:58 AM »
Does anybody successfully run YateBTS with RPi4 (bladeRF x40)? Too much errors, like on RPi3. Can’t set desired amount of C1s.

YateBTS / transciever-bladerf is not multi-CPU?
« on: November 10, 2018, 06:30:22 AM »
Hi,

I have problems increasing ARFCNs on bladeRF x40 with yateBTS 5.x branch. It seems transciever-bladerf process can utilize only single CPU? I see Yate crashes after it reaches 100-120% CPU. USB is version 3.1.

YateBTS / TRX clock interface timed out
« on: October 31, 2018, 04:00:04 AM »
Trying Yate 5.x branch (because 6.x is not working normally for me). Sometimes get "TRX clock interface timed out, assuming TRX is dead". Any way to fix it? Firmware 1.8.0 (1.9.1 show unstable results), FPGA 0.1.2, USB3 bare metal.

YateBTS / Excessive TOA errors
« on: October 29, 2018, 08:11:39 AM »
What does "Excessive TOA error" mean? And how to fix? The latest version of Yate/YateBTS, and Core i7 hardware with USB3.

YateBTS / Max number of concurrent calls
« on: October 21, 2018, 12:00:31 PM »
I have unresolved problem: how to raise concurrent calls to 28? I use bladerf x40 w/ USB3. FPGA 0.1.2, FW 1.8.0. I set:
Radio.ARFCNs=4
Channels.NumC1s=28
Channels.NumC7s=3
Radio.RSSITarget=-35

Some phone models can connect up to 28 concurrently, some models can connect not more than 10, sometimes 2-3. Just don't place a call, or lost network, etc. What could it be? Moreover, when many phones, YateBTS lost connection with bladeRF and starts freezing, on both versions, 5.x and 6.x.

There are so many parameters in [gsm_advanced] section, should I alter something else to make it work stable?

What additional permissions require `yate` user?

Yate bugs / YateBTS freezes randomly
« on: October 17, 2018, 12:45:33 PM »
Hello!

Need your help :(. I use Yate 6.1.0 and YateBTS 6.1.0 built from sources, and sometimes (often) it freezes. I attached a part of debug log. Please note the string in the log below:

Code: [Select]
2018-10-17_18:08:49.002954 <ybts-signalling:WARN> Timeout while waiting for heartbeat [0x55bc9bc266f0]
First of all, why it get timeout? Why process freezes, if it really freezes? After that YateBTS can't kill it, and restarting itself. After one or two restarts (sorry, I don't know how to get info about restarts count) it stops announce its network, and only manual 'service yate restart' helps.

YateBTS / Make more stable on USB2
« on: May 24, 2018, 12:14:26 AM »
Hi! Use YateBTS on hardware where is USB2 is the only way to connect. CPU is fine.

Yate 5.5.0 + YateBTS 5.0.0.

I want to prevent auto-restarting Yate. How to increase timeouts, or amount of failed attempts?

YateBTS / bladeRF x40 FPGA firmware?
« on: April 25, 2018, 11:42:21 AM »
Why the latest supported FPGA firmware for bladeRF x40 is 0.1.2? They fixed some things in the never versions. But when I try to use the newer firmware, I instantly get radio tune error and yate don't start. Do you have any plans to support newer versions of firmware?

YateBTS / System requirements?
« on: March 08, 2018, 12:25:33 AM »
Hi! I want to have 20 concurrent calls to Yate IVR autoresponder (on the same machine), via 2G YateBTS. Please recommend me the setup:
- OS (which Linux distro is better)
- CPU
- Memory

All I find were articles about Raspberry Pi 3 B. Will Raspberry Pi be good for my task? Which max calls + IVR Raspberry Pi can handle?

Radio is bladeRF x40.
