YateBTS / Solved gsmtrx:ALL ARFCN[0]: Slot ... Excessive TOA errors
« on: September 05, 2016, 12:05:37 PM »
Hello
this is not the first time I install yatebts,
but with the following configuration:
bladeRF> version

  bladeRF-cli version:        1.4.0-2016.06-1-ppatrusty
  libbladeRF version:         1.7.2-2016.06-1-ppatrusty

  Firmware version:           1.9.0
  FPGA version:               0.6.0

libusb 1.0.17
uname -a : 4.4.0-36-generic #55~14.04.1-Ubuntu
and yate -V
Yate 5.5.1 devel1 r6131
I get always gsmtrx:ALL ARFCN[0]: Slot ... Excessive TOA errors, as a consequence I can't make calls, sometimes shutdown yatebts, etc...
What could be the reason?
thanks

Hello,
I've already posted that in this post: please read

http://forum.yate.ro/index.php?topic=1211.msg4328#msg4328

anyway I succeeded in doing that, I can help you,
you need to do a snapshot of the spectrum downlink of your operator you are intended to activate.
Remember that, once the procedure is up and working this is illegal since some UE (user equipment) around you could connect to your fake operator!
Before I want to ask you: what os are you using? because FW2.0 usb 3 doesn't work for yate bts:  http://www.nuand.com/fx3.php, new VID/PID are not recognized to yatebts, what version are you using?
Bye
Andrea

YateBTS / change sms welcome message
« on: February 12, 2016, 01:10:02 PM »
Hello,
in order to change the sms welcome message I've  read in this forum to change the sendGreetingfunction into nib.js
but I have two nib.js in:
/usr/src/yatebts/nib
and in
/usr/local/share/yate/scripts

should I change both?
should I re-compile yatebts after that?
thanks

YateBTS / Re: Cell Reselection values C1 and C2
« on: November 03, 2015, 03:04:15 PM »
Hello,
In case of more BTS with the same provider (MCC, MNC)  the MS camp on the strongest cell
But the information of the strongest cell are given (from the BCCH) to the MS, not only in order to make a cell selection and cell reselection C1 and C2 criterio are used.

C1= Received_Level_Average- RXLEVACCESSMIN - MAX(MS_TXPWR_MAX_CCH, POWEROFFSET-P)    for CELL Selection
C2= C1+ CELL_RESELECT_OFFSET--TEMPORARY_OFFSET*H(PENALTY_TIME-T)                                  for Cell Reselection

I Haven't found all of these parameters

in order to set-up C1  and C2 @ maximum
is there any possibility to set them?

YateBTS / Re: Could not route call to '32843'
« on: May 21, 2015, 12:10:31 PM »
Ok,

in fact, unfortunately I installed yate and yatebts before installing libgsm1-dev...

but the wiki-yatebts doesn't explain it, the site lacks of information...:(

so now I overwrite yate and yatebts

thanks a lot
bye

Andrea

Ok,
I set up routing:welcome.js  (without ";" ) and routing is OK!
but I don't hear anything, I have this error:

<WARN> DataTranslator::attachChain [0x7fe8340052b0] 'mulaw' -> [0x7fe834006f60] 'gsm' failed

According
http://wiki.yatebts.com/index.php/You_don't_hear_anything
Should I reinstall yate and Yatebts? I have libgsm1-dev installed (from synaptic pack manager, after having installed yate and yatebts)

it is not possible to give you the whole telnel log because terminal cuts the starting lines when they are a lot!

thanks!
